PocketBible New Living Translation (NLT) 1.0 helps to convey the meaning and content of the ancient Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts as accurately as possible.
The software has a front matter which is generally found in NLT bibles. This is found along with translator’s footnotes. The tool renders the message of the original texts of the selected Scripture into contemporary English which is easy to understand. The translation method has a combination of balanced forms of formal-equivalence which has an accuracy focus as well as dynamic-equivalence which has a readability focus.
The translation is based on texts like Masoretic Text of the Hebrew Bible as represented in Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, Greek New Testament published by the United Bible Societies, Novum Testamentum Graece edited by Nestle and Aland. The translated terms are shrouded in history and culture in ways that can be immediately understood. The Ancient weights, measures and currency values are given in modern English equivalents. The software also features Hebrew dates and times are expanded and interpreted for modern readers. All the poetic content is rendered into English poetic form.
The software helps a user to read the contemporary form of bible into simple and easy to understand language.
